John Krehbiel

John Krehbiel

Founder & President at Interfund Management Services

Throughout his career, John Krehbiel has been a key advocate for reducing investor risk by implementing tactical asset allocation strategies within mutual fund portfolios. He began developing the foundation for his investment algorithms in 1980 at Krehbiel & Hubbard, where he significantly contributed to growing the managed assets to $400 million by 1990.

After retiring from Krehbiel & Hubbard, Mr. Krehbiel secured an exemption from his non-compete agreement with Washington Capital Management, the company that succeeded Krehbiel & Hubbard, and founded Interfund Management Services (IMS) in 1993. At IMS, he was instrumental in developing a defensive algorithm, which has been continuously applied to high-yield bond mutual funds since late 1997.
